“Should you fear the BLACK MAMBA?”

Pertaining to the snake, yes. If it’s Kobe, I have yet to watch the movie to find out.

If you’re a basketball fan or perhaps a die hard supporter of Kobe Bryant, you better take a peek at these two trailers of his upcoming movie, The Black Mamba. It’s a Nike Basketball production, directed by Robert Rodriguez. Also starring are Kanye West, Bruce Willis, and Danny Trejo.

The Black Mamba is about Kobe’s everyday determination and fight to the finish spirit. Hailed as one of the best players in NBA history, the film also brings out Kobe’s alter ego, the Black Mamba to life in a way that’s never been seen before.

The movie will be opened to the public on Saturday, February 19, 2011, 6:00 p.m. at the Ronac ART Center, Ortigas Avenue, Greenhills, San Juan. Gates open at 4:00 p.m.

In line with the launch of the film is the unveiling of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI.  The Nike Zoom Kobe VI is a performance basketball shoe inspired by the black mamba. The design draws cues from this fearsome snake and incorporates key performance elements in a low-profile shoe that weighs just 10.6 ounces in a men’s US size 9.
