I got to try the Double Decker from Domino’s Pizza last May. The best part is, I didn’t have to pay for it. 🙂
The Double Decker is basically their famous Extravaganzza pizza made more special with cream cheese. It’s loaded with pepperoni, ham, savory Italian sausage, beef, onions, green peppers, mushrooms and black olives. I have no idea that it has cream cheese, but I definitely noticed the creaminess with every bite.
Get yours from their branches. Below are the delivery hotlines.

So I googled it, and here’s what I found. There’s a layer of cream cheese in between two thin crusts. The pizza box was emptied in just a few minutes so I didn’t have the chance to take a peek. 🙂
I mentioned that I got this pizza for free, right? Well, here’s the story. I’ve been blogging for years and it has become a real passion of mine. It took a great effort on my part to build and maintain a quality blog and I wasn’t expecting that advertisers would notice what I do. Sometime in 2009, a stranger emailed me and introduced himself/herself as part of the Domino’s Pizza team. He/She asked me to post the contact numbers on my website. So out of generosity, I did.
The blog post Domino’s Pizza Branches in the Philippines received a few comments saying that the number is no longer Domino’s but Angel’s Pizza. I have no idea with the mix-up. Then last May 2012, someone [officially] from Domino’s Pizza emailed me for further clarification and asked if I can change the information to help people reach the “real” Domino’s Pizza. I granted their little favor and they thanked me with a box of pizza – a 12″ Double Decker.
This is one of the perks of blogging. Free stuff. But it’s just fair & square because I help (bloggers help) brands reach more people online. It’s a give and take relationship. I might soon write a post about what happens behind a blogger’s life, particularly mine, to clear up some issues regarding freebies and sponsorships.
FYI, Domino’s Pizza Philippines just made its comeback last January 2011.
Me and my family loved the pizza and I think that it’s so thoughtful of them to include a personalized note. Thank you once again, Domino’s!
