Doll Glam Event by SM Store Beauty Section

I was invited to the SM Store Beauty Section Doll Glam event last Saturday. It was an afternoon of free makeovers, nail art, and hair coloring, plus I was able to witness a Doll Glam Challenge featuring Tricia Gosingtian and Alodia Gosiengfiao.

Prior to the event, I had to attend my sister’s Nutrition Month school program so I arrived at SM The Block at around 5PM. We (me and my 4-year old boy) were ushered into the cordoned area right after registration.

Food and drinks were served (c/o Sumosam) — yakitori, fried gyoza, california maki, brownies, and more. I remembered tuloy our enjoyable dining experience at Sumosam one or two years ago. So going back to the event, I had to divide my attention between feeding my son and taking pictures of what was happening on stage.

Fashion and lifestyle blogger Nicole Andersson (also daughter of actress Jean Saburit) hosted the event. She’s gorgeous and I love the way she carried herself all throughout the event. It wasn’t shortly after when she called out Tricia Gosingtian (a fashion/travel blogger and photographer) and Alodia Gosiengfiao (Cosplay Goddess slash gamer babe.) Fans were all over the place. Too bad I was at the farther end of the VIP area and was only able to take a few decent zoomed in shots.

So the Doll Glam Challenge started. Tricia and Alodia had their own models to work their magic on. I have no idea who did a better doll face makeover. All I knew was, I need my own makeover.. Stat! LOL.

10 girls got to take home gift packs! They were all deserving to win for showcasing their own doll glam looks.

Porcelain skin, petite figures, and pretty faces — Tricia and Alodia are darling dolls in real life.

It was after the doll glam challenge that I was able to check out the booths and stalls brimming with SM beauty products and chic makeup brands. Girls were getting their makeovers, little girls were having their nails done, and some were undergoing hair color retouches. I needed to go to my tita’s house right after the event so I wasn’t able to get a free hair makeover. *Sigh*

The invitation encouraged attendees to show up with their own interpretation of a doll glam look. For me, it would mean having big eyes, larger-than-life lashes, rosy cheeks, pouty lips, and mermaid hair. Instead of looking dolled up, I appeared as my usual boring self, wearing casual errand clothes, with a kid as my accessory. But hey, I had fun, Zaiel loved the food, plus I got to take home free stuff!

Beauty products in queue for review! Thank you to SM Beauty, to the PR company who invited me to the Doll Glam event, and to these participating brands — Dolly Wink, BYS, NYX, Pixy, Heroine Make, Kate, Maybelline Color Show, Cutex, Palty, Beautylabo and Lucido L. 😀
