Tipsy Tales’ Lambana: An Immersive Theater Experience Showcasing Filipino Folklore

Tipsy Tales PH: Immersive Theater

I’m excited to share with you one of our recent unique adventures as a family — Tipsy Tales. We didn’t have to go far from the metro for this one-of-a-kind experience because you can find it at Eastwood Mall in Quezon City. 🙂

Tipsy Tales is an immersive theater, meaning the free-roaming audience is part of the unfolding dramatic events.

A couple of weeks ago, we visited Tipsy Tales for the first time and it completely changed our awareness about theater shows in general.

We were asked to arrive at Tipsy Tales 15 minutes early for the prep talk for the guests. We were also given forms to fill out — I had no idea what it was for but after entering the mythical world of Lambana, I understood why. 🙂

Tipsy Tales’ Lambana features a 75-minute whimsical theater performance that showcases the mythical world of Filipino Folklore. When we talk about Filipino folklore, anong naiisip niyo?

Kapre? Nuno sa punso? Aswang? What about Duwende?

Well then, let’s check where this door will lead to! 🙂

Tipsy Tales Philippines

This is the waiting area of Tipsy Tales. It is fully decorated with different Philippine Folklore art that you’ll feel the eerie vibe once you enter the door.

I wish I could tell you what happened after we waited here in the room for a good few minutes.. but.. okay, I’ll just leave you with this!

5 Reasons Why You Need To Visit Tipsy Tales, NOW!

  1. You and your group will enjoy a multi-sensory world that will give you an equally wonderful multi-sensory experience. Tipsy Tales’ Lambana is an immersive theater, hindi ka lang nakaupo at manonood. The whole set will leave you with awe and wonder.
  2. Lambana is educational and the story is thrilling from start to finish. Definitely no dull moments! My kid learned a lot about our own Philippine mythical creatures.
  3. It’s highly personalized. They address you personally, by your names. And, I’m still wondering how my college diploma (complete with my name, school, and course!) ended up in one of the rooms there.. framed.. what the?! Naloka ako! 🙂
  4. Imagine YOURSELF as the main character of a video game. There I said it. 🙂 Have you ever played The Wolf Among Us by Telltale Games? Parang ganun — choose-your-own-adventure gameplay that’s dark and whimsical. It’s a theater show, but with horror house feels, and escape room bits & pieces (yes, you need to solve mysteries or solve puzzles to escape when you’re trapped, doomed, or simply being hunted hihihi!)
  5. You choose your ending. The storyline is greatly affected by your choices, so as the ending. That being said, you can choose a different path on your next visit. Exciting diba? 🙂

Can I just add ONE more reason?

The acting was impressive. SUPERB! The actors improvise based on what you say or you do. Ang galing talaga! Beware though.. you’ll never know at first who’s a friend or a foe! 🙂

So, kung gusto niyong matakot, magulat, matawa, mag-isip, kilabutan, at mag-enjoy ng bongga — visit Tipsy Tales! 🙂

  • Upon request, the experience can be done in 3 ways: child-friendly, regular, or Halloween scary. Recommended age is 12+. Children below 12 are allowed with a legal guardian. My 9yo kid was with us so medyo mild ang takutan. But still.. there were a lot of mini-heart attack moments hahaha! He was about to cry in one of the more serious scenes we had together when we encountered a ______ LOL, but he held back his tears. Moreover, senior citizens and guests with disabilities will be assisted accordingly during their special events.
  • You cannot take photos and videos of the actual show. There are lockers in the waiting room so you must leave all your cameras or mobile phones, and even your bags there. No food must be taken inside either. Don’t worry, may buffet sa loob! Hahaha 🙂
  • Shows can take up to 15 people. I recommend this for barkadas, families, and even couples! A lovely couple was with us but then the two were forced to split up paths…… OOPS! 🙂
