Pamper Couch Nail Spa and Body Sugaring Salon + Giveaway (CLOSED)

A few weeks ago I was invited to visit Pamper Couch Nail Spa and Body Sugaring Salon. It is a new pampering hub at Spark Place Building (along P. Tuazon, Cubao) which offers superb nail care services, as well as body sugaring hair removal, body scrubs, and body massages.

I usually do my own nails and prepare my own DIY foot spa at home, but nothing beats the convenience of going to a spa wherein I can totally sit back and relax for hours. The last time I visited a spa was months ago so the invitation was perfect timing.

Being a full-time mom of two [little boys], I have had my fair share of stressful days and sleepless nights. To stay sane, I usually slow down by reading a book, watching one of my favorite TV series (Once Upon A Time), blogging, or eating some comfort food. Doing something for my own enjoyment and relaxation really helps me a lot to better cope with life’s pressures and challenges.

Spas and beauty centers usually have similar zen-like ambiance, so I was surprised with Pamper Couch’s throwback vibe. This particular diner couch and the stunning vintage collage above it sealed the theme.

I was accompanied by my cousin T who’s a regular spa goer. We loved the pin-up inspired superhero wall posters. The Archie poster is a refreshing addition as well.

Our foot spa started with dry filing. In other spas, they usually do the soaking first before the foot filing. It was explained to us that dry filing is more effective in removing unwanted dead skin cells.

Treats for my feet — foot mask, foot scrub, and foot lotion. Their foot rescue spa treatment extends up to the lower leg.

They offered snacks while I’m having my foot soak. I loved their sweet corn nibbles that I even asked for two or three more refills. After my foot massage, scrub, and mask, I had my gel nail polish pedicure.

These are the manicure stations across the foot spa section. The mini desks and couches, including the wall art, intensifies the spa’s vintage charm. I also enjoyed their playlist of Postmodern Jukebox songs. The atmosphere, without a doubt, transports you back in time.

It was actually my first time to get gel nails. Gel nail polishes last longer than regular polishes, and they stay shiny for weeks. I think that I should get this kind of polish more often because I don’t have the luxury of time to change regularly.
