SM Malls in Grand Central, Sangandaan, and Valenzuela are calling on communities to share the joy of reading through The Great Book Share, a book donation drive that encourages mallgoers, tenants, partners, and families to give pre-loved books to readers who need them.

Running until October 25, the initiative invites the public to donate books in good condition at designated drop-off points at SM City Grand Central, SM Center Sangandaan, and SM City Valenzuela.

Accepted donations include fiction and non-fiction books, children’s books, young adult literature, academic and reference materials, magazines, and comics. Donors are encouraged to make sure their books are complete, clean, dry, and free from major damage so they can be enjoyed by their next readers.

More than simply collecting books, The Great Book Share aims to promote literacy and foster a culture of learning and community sharing. The initiative also reflects SM Cares’ vision of transforming SM malls into spaces for inclusive learning, community engagement, and opportunities for young readers and future leaders.

With every donated book, communities can help put stories into the hands of new readers and make reading more accessible to more Filipino families.

Residents and mallgoers in the area are encouraged to gather their pre-loved books and bring them to the book donation booths at SM Center Sangandaan, SM City Grand Central, and SM City Valenzuela before October 25.
