My husband treated me to a massage at Wensha Spa Timog late last year. I complained about being stressed all the time (taking care of two children with no househelp to assist me in between chores) so he bought two massage + buffet coupons from a groupon website.
The Place
Wensha Spa Timog branch is practically just a few kilometers away from our place. No reservations are needed so we went there on a Friday night after my husband’s shift.
The lobby has purple couches that looked something out of a fortune teller’s tent, but they’re purple so I love them. We showed our coupons to the desk receptionist and he told us to deposit our shoes then get our spa slippers and electronic locker keys.
I went to the women’s locker room and a lady gave me a robe and a bath towel. I changed into my robe (with all the other women changing clothes too!) and stored my clothes and my bag inside the locker. The shower room’s just a few steps away so I took the first cubicle and prepared myself for a shower. Unfortunately, the showers were malfunctioning so I stepped into the sauna room instead. I didn’t use the public jacuzzi for personal hygienic reasons.
The Massage
I came out of the wet area and went straight to the massage rooms. The massage rooms contain 6-8 massage beds so if you want privacy, this is not the spa for you. The massage was divine, as expected, and lasted for an hour or so. The therapists were all professionals. After the relaxing massage, I went straight to the buffet area to get my dinner. I texted my husband and told him to meet me at the second floor entrance.

The Food
The buffet area was crowded that we had to share a table (and heating pot for shabu shabu) with an unknown couple. The food didn’t impress me at all. Well we didn’t expect to be served excellent dishes in the first place because their main service is the massage and the food is just a bonus.
Wensha Spa Timog needs renovations because the place is too old. You also need to be patient because the place is too crowded. I’d go back there only for the massage, or I’ll just visit a Wensha branch with newer amenities.

We used to live close to each other pala. I was once a resident of Banawe for many years. Anyway, along Timog, I remember seeing Wensha whenever I pass by. I just never patronized their services. Glad you had a break from routine and you needed that.
