Mutya’s Raw Honey: 100% Pure from Sierra Madre

My mommy friend, Streetsmartchic, introduced me to her “sweet” start-up business last year – Mutya’s Raw Honey. Their pure honey comes from the wild bees of the forests of Sierra Madre. I ordered a bottle [to try it], and now it’s one of my kitchen staples.

Some honey products from grocery stores are not 100% pure. I even read from an online news portal that some honey from China doesn’t even contain honey (who knows what’s in there?!) That’s why I’m so relieved that I can now purchase 100% pure honey any time I want, and have it delivered to my doorstep in just a matter of days.

Pure, raw honey smells like it has some liquor in it, and it appears frothy/foamy on top. Honey from different floral sources may differ from aroma, flavor, and color. But regardless of variations, it’s always recommended to buy honey in its purest form.

Also known as liquid gold, honey does amazing things to our body. According to Medical Daily, there are 7 [major] health benefits of consuming honey:

  1. Alleviates allergies
  2. All-natural energy drink
  3. Boosts memory
  4. Cough suppressant
  5. Sleep aid
  6. Treats dandruff
  7. Treats wounds and burns

A peek inside the bottle

My son was diagnosed with Primary Complex last year. After completing his medication for 6 months, I always make sure he takes at least a teaspoon of honey everyday. No cough yet in months! 🙂 My toddler also takes half a teaspoon a day. I also take honey to treat my nasal allergy.

Early this year, Shin sent me three bottles of their pure honey. Thank you! 🙂

Their newest, smallest, and cutest bottle size! This will make the ‘sweetest’ gift to family and friends, but of course, bigger is better! 🙂
